Satan prefers that we Talk about tithing. Talk about the loaves and fishes miracle. Talk about Peters fishing trip and that coin in that fishes mouth. Talk about the Law of Moses and Circumcision. Talk about the Sabbath day. The New Moon. Talk about Daniel in the lions den. Talk about David and Goliath. Talk about the Ten Commandments. Talk about prayer. Talk about Praise. From all these and from other topics and subjects we all know there is light in those truths and subjects of great edifying value to us, but NOTHING is more valuable to us and to all the world above the preaching of Jesus Christ and him crucified and risen from the dead... And nothing else so offends the devils spirit more. He said thru Peter after Jesus preached his death on the Cross, Satan thru Peter said to Jesus, BE THIS FAR FROM YOU. The devil wants the sermons of the Cross of Christ, of Jesus Christ and him crucified and risen from the dead, far from all preachers and from all pulpits. For it is the power of God to save both sinner and saint.
The preaching of the Cross of Christ agitates and angers the devils spirit. Without this, the Cross of Christ and His resurrection, which is the very heart and heart beat of the gospel of our salvation and eternal life, and the very place where Satan lost his power over us and was guaranteed his destruction and doom, without Jesus Christ and him crucified and risen from the dead, the rest are but conversation pieces that cannot redeem or save. It may make you feel good for a while playing upon the comforts of the five physical senses and with mental images sensationalism, but hell is full of people that laughed a lot on the earth and sang the song I FEEL GOOD, THE WAY THAT I SHOULD.
If the spiritually dead are not raised from the dead, BORN AGAIN, then all you have are dead people walking about full of religion and artificial religious fruit, but not eternal life. This is Israels present situation in those who rejected Jesus Christ and him crucified and risen from the dead. They have the ten commandments. They pray at the whaling wall. They quote the old testament scriptures. They teach about obeying God and the Law that He gave them thru Moses, but the bible says they are still dead in their trespasses and sins and Jesus said that they would die in their sins if they do not accept and received him and believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. Even to this day the cross of Christ is an offense to Israel, but it is not to God. It was there, AT THE CROSS, where Emmanuel that became a man, just as He foretold Israel, tasted death, even the death of the Cross for them and for every man. The Cross is the most sensitive subject to God to bless mankind with, but it is also the most sensitive subject to Satan's ears and when he hears it he roars to devour it if possible from all conversations and sermons from the pulpit up, to the pulpit down.
Why? He knows the Cross of Christ is Gods saving Power and Constant Redeeming Might on earth. The Cross of Christ is certainly Gods saving power but it is also Satan's most hated subject in the Word of God. By the Cross Jesus destroyed him who had the power of death which was the devil. The message of the Cross gets the lion roaring mad. Put on the whole armor of God.
Jesus Christ and him crucified and risen from the dead is the center of the Evangelist soul winning light and it is the everyday eternal life heartbeat of all who believe and belong to Christ. If Satan can offend you or deceive you as to get you to some how religiously or not, to move away from this truth, you will suffer loss and could end up having a spiritual heart attack. You could end up having a form of religion but denying the power. What Power? Gods redeeming power and might in the message of Jesus Christ and him crucified and risen from the dead.
As in the days of Noah right before the end of world in those days, the Ark of Noah became heaven and earths main sermon, main focus, and center of attention and for good reason. In Gods eyes the Ark was for salvation. In the lost peoples eyes is was grounds for mocking. Even so in these last days, in similarity, the Cross of Christ is heavens main focus and center of attention for this dying world entering into the dispensation of the wrath of God. The end is nearing for sin is so abounding. It is the only true hope for all both sinner and saints.. It is the New Covenant Ark of Salvation and eternal refuge from the wrath of God that is soon to come. Where ever the message of the Cross of Christ is being highly exalted and magnified there also for a surety is Jesus Christ.and so should we all be in the day and in the hour we are living in on earth.......deno.....please share freely.
