We learn from Pauls insights, revelations, and writings giving to him from Jesus, that The Law given to Moses in its long term view, was given for this revelating purpose. Romans 3:19.....so that every mouth may be silenced, and ALL THE WORLD may become guilty before God (Actually to know their guilt themselves before God). The world would look at the Holy Commandments of the Law and learn its holiness and holy commands and realize that in them, that is in their being was something wrong. They would notice or realize that there was a lust in their being, a world of iniquity, a world of sinful desires in each of them to do just the opposite of the laws pure love and pure holiness commandments and ways. As they looked at the Holy Law, they were to notice and say, something is wrong with me. Sort of like, Lord Im a sinful man, or Lord, be merciful to me a sinner. They sure were not to have the holier than thou attitude of self righteousness as the Pharisees took on as to say, Lord I thank God Im not like the rest of these sinful people. Im above their guilt. That attitude is sure not the true attitude that the Law was given to give all the world. Remember what the scriptures says, Romans 3:19...The Law was given so that every mouth may be stopped, meaning in part that all self righteous boasting would be shut down and that ALL THE WORLD TOGETHER (including all Pharisees and all Sadducees) would become, would know for themselves that something is wrong with them and that the whole world-all of us-would become guilty before God. We would all notice and say we were guilty of sin, we were sinners, and sinful in nature....NOT DENY THIS FACT AS THE TRUE SELF RIGHTEOUS HYPOCRITES DO. This knowledge mentioned above of how guilty and how truly sinful we are was to eventually lead them and us to understand the purpose of Jesus Christ the Son of God, to understand the need for His atoning blood, and him crucified, and the need for the mercy of God and redemption, or eternal salvation thru the Messiah. However, Israel, including the majority of their elders were blinded by Satan to make the redemption connection of Isaiah 52,53,54,55....Just the opposite was their attitude and just the opposite was their mouths boast saying, I THANK GOD I'M NOT LIKE THE REST OF THESE SINFUL PEOPLE (Read Luke 18:9-14). That is an I am not guilty before God attitude. Jesus, knowing why He gave the Law and its ultimate redemption purpose as we have learned in this lesson said some startling words concerning these mouths that boasted of just how holy they were and boasted about how their righteousness was beyond rebuke, as if they were above the guilt of the rest of all the world. Jesus said they went away as THE CONDEMNED. They were liars, who denied and tried to hide their evil hearts thru fronts of self righteous holy appearances and apparel. Friend every heart, yours, mine, their all naked before God. Fronts, holy apparel etc. cannot hide our hearts sins or secret thoughts and imaginations. Because the Pharisees refused to humble themselves and acknowledge their sins and their guilt before God, they got in serious trouble with Jesus the Lord who himself was the Law giver. Before Abraham was Jesus said, I AM....People today who possess the Pharisees I thank God I am not a sinner like the rest of these attitude, because of their self righteous holier than thou attitude, they to get themselves in hot water with Jesus today. He resisteth the proud, but gives HIS GRACE to the humble. The Lord be merciful to me a sinner hearted people. Friends the real honest truth of the matter is, WE WERE ALL IN THE GUILT AND SHAME BOAT TOGETHER. All of us and that without exception. No matter how people try to deceive themselves or deceive others with their own self righteous attitude, or arrogant sinless aroma that is a stench, the bible says that All sinned, All have sin in them even as a part of their being. All were guilty. All had evil in their hearts secret place, in their hidden imaginations, and in their being. Jesus even told all of Israel that even they were evil (guilty before God)(Matthew 7:9-11)....He said, If you (Israel) who ARE EVIL know how to give good things to your children...In this Jesus startles us all and all the world in these few words saying EVIL KNOWS HOW TO EVEN DO GOOD....the things one could preach from those revelating words are abundant. Thank God for Jesus and Him crucified and risen from the dead. We all certainly needed a Savior, a Redeemer....Behold said Elijah, Behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of a guilty world. Jesus became our sin and guilt offering thru the blood of His Cross. Lord Jesus how we love you and praise you and thank you for being you and for loving us and giving yourself for us on the Cross. It was not the riches nor the wealth that got the rich man in the bible in hot water, it was his selfishness and his attitude towards the less fortunate. He cared not for the poor, nor did he consider the needy. He loved not his neighbor as himself. That is what got him in the hot water. It is always a matter of the heart with God, not with the ching ching of the change. God said riches and wealth would and could be in the house of those who love and cherish with all their heart wisdom, doing what is righteous, helping the poor and the needy, and who love and honor God with their substance. (Read Psalms 112:1-10). Why can't people see this? Money, wealth, riches are breathless and lifeless. Their power is always what men hearts and minds give it over them. Now it is sad that men have built money a throne and they have sat money upon that throne to rule over them. But it is still lifeless and breathless. It is not that which is lifeless or breathless that destroys mens souls in hell. It is that which is in their hearts and souls. From my heart to yours. People have their reasons. Try to understand them with the love and patience from Christ. The enemy has preyed on or against every soul, upon you, me, upon everyone. He has formed his works against all, even against the whole world. The hurts in some are deep unto deep. The wounds of the betrayer against us all, well people carry the pain of those wounds in their souls. People cry due to the affliction. They just can't seem to erase the pain no matter what they take, say, or do.Their eyes are full of sorrows rain due to the pain. They want to be loved. They want to be free.They want to take the leap of faith but often times the pain that the enemy has afflicted their lives and soul with makes them wonder if such a great love as Christ really exist and is all real and ready for their entrance. Love is patient, so be patient unto all. Love suffers long so be long suffering with all by Christ in you. Sin can only literally die in Christ. Sin can only be destroyed and abolished, and done away with by the blood of Christ. Nothing else in all creation is a match for sins power. Hell is full of this fact and Heaven is lacking many due to this truth not being known, believed and trusted in.. All our good intentions, all our good efforts, all our good works under or above the Law, none of those things can remove, take away, do away with, or abolish sin. Only by the shedding of Christ blood and only by being connected to Christ blood stream can sin die, be done away with, be removed, be cleansed, be forgiven, forgotten, and abolished. By all other means or efforts that people do to justify and to save themselves, all of it together leaves sin still at the door and fully naked and seen by Gods eyes. Good deeds cannot wash away sin, Only blood. God preached this truth from the beginning. This is why faith in Christ and His Blood, His Death, and His Resurrection is most important above all else and above all other things. Friends, our GOOD EFFORTS, OUR GOOD WORKS AND DEEDS can never take away or atone for sin. Sin leaves ugly stains that we cannot see with our natural eyes nor remove with natural forces or by means of natural thought and wisdom. But God certainly can see all our sin spots, stains, and blemishes, and he certainly had the wisdom to combat all the power of sin. He sent us Jesus His Son from heaven itself with the supernatural power of His Eternal Spirit mixed with flesh and blood in the womb of the virgin, so that thru the power of His eternal Spirit mixed with blood He could TAKE AWAY SIN by the blood from the sacrifice of Himself.. God fully knows that no works of natural fallen men can take away the ugly stains, spots, and blemishes of sin. That is why He sent Jesus to shed His blood to take away sin and sins stains with all its residue, even the sin of all the world it can remove thru the greatness of its atoning power. So we work and we do good things not to save ourselves. We do good deeds not thinking to save ourselves from sin by our good deeds, but we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and in the saving grace and power of His Atoning blood for eternal redemption. He by His blood is able to save to the uttermost all who call upon His Name in faith. We work to obey the One who we know bought us with a price, with the price of His own precious blood with thanksgiving. Answering The Questions? Did Jesus please God? Yes he did and he did so perfectly. Did He please God only for himself, or did he please the Father for the blessings and benefits of others? All for others. He did not have to come down from heaven to the earth to please God for himself, or to remove any enmity or friction between himself and God, or to obtain peace for himself with the Father. He and the Father have been at perfect peace with one another since before all creations foundations and ever shall be. He (Jesus) did all he did and suffered all that he suffered FOR US. THE CROSS. So we now can ask the question of just how satisfied is the Father with Jesus for us or on our behalf? Was it only a temporal or temporary satisfaction for us, or does it (speaking mainly of the blood of HIS CROSS), does it extend in saving grace and redeeming power effects into the full realms of FOREVER or for all eternity? Answer....Hebrews 9:11)...reads....but Jesus by His own blood, He entered once into the holy place (Heaven Itself) having OBTAINED "FOR US" ETERNAL REDEMPTION (Eternal Everlasting Salvation)....Hebrews 10:14) For by one offering (By the sacrifice of Himself) Jesus has perfected (Means made accepted and complete as to have been crucified with Christ and also risen with Christ in the spirit into the heavenly realms of His glory (Ephesians 2;1-10 & Colossians 3:1-4). For by just one sacrifice, by the sacrifice of himself, Jesus has PERFECTED (made acceptable and complete) FOREVER, which means FOR ALL ETERNITY, those that His sacrifice has sanctified (See Hebrews 10:10-14). The power of the Cross and Blood of Jesus Christ and His Resurrection purpose and justifying power is to be FOREVER and FOR ALL ETERNITY the beginning of our confidence that is never ever to be changed, neither replaced, nor compromised, or altered, or watered down by those who do not have the full revelation of its Love and Eternal Redemption Power. Paul preached all his years that the Cross of Christ is Gods all time answer and that it is forever the power of God unto salvation. This, the message of His Cross and Its Eternal Redemption Power, Paul never changed nor did he altar. He even said CURSED are those that changed the message of the power of Christ redeeming blood, Cross, and Resurrection for the weaker and beggarly elements as he said was found in the Law that could never justify anyone, for the real truth of this matter was that no one could keep the High Standard that the Law demanded (Perfection) (James 2:10 & Galations 3:10-14). The Laws High calling was found to be totally unreachable by sinful fallen man no matter how hard they strove to keep it. Even the Law itself demanded one to flawlessly keep it flawlessly. One sin, one transgression made you guilty of all. Now with that truth and weight weighing against you from the Law, how could you possibly have real hope in the Law with that letter that itself killeth working against you? One transgression makes you guilty of all, meaning as if you never kept any of it. Jesus taught Paul the truth. He taught the Pharisee of all Pharisees that used to make his boast in the keeping of the Law, Jesus taught him that no man could perfectly-flawlessly keep the Law as the Law itself demanded (Perfection). Therefore by the deeds of the Law Jesus said himself to Paul that no person shall be justified in Gods sight for the Law exposes sin and works enmity and wrath between God and men. From that light Jesus taught Paul the truth of Gods Grace in the Cross of Christ and its glorious saving, redeeming, eternal power. He did not teach Paul that the Cross was just a TEMPORARY SOLUTION or only a temporary fix to an eternal problem. No Jesus would never deny himself or his sufferings that way, for doing that would say His Cross is weak and saying that would eventually drive people back under the Law of Moses to try to - in their minds justify and save themselves by their own doings and no by Christ. If Jesus taught and denied the Power of His Blood and Cross, he then would sin against His Own Bloods Power and Purpose if He did that. HE WOULD NOT DO THAT EVER. Paul preached we must all hold firmly (means to never let go of) the beginning of our confidence all the way to the finish line. (Hebrews 3:1-19). Jesus Christ and him crucified and risen from the dead is that beginning, and it is the power of God unto eternal salvation. DON'T LET GO OF IT or exchange it for weaker, beggarly elements as those found in the Law. Christ is All. Christ is the Beginning of our confidence and the all of our confidence. He is the beginning and He is the ending. Christ is our every good thing and only by Christ is any one or any thing accepted......deno.
1 Corinthians 6:20) For you were bought with a price.....Jesus is not in heaven paying a bank loan note each month until the loan is paid for-for you then to be finally his. You Are His. You Are His Full Possession. The note on your account, it's record is kept in the book of life and that book next to your name - it reads, PAID FOR IN FULL. Nothing Owed...This one belongs to Jesus. Paid for in full with a price, with Immanuels Own Precious Blood. Some people are working and working as if UNDER THE LAW to the religious bone trying to become the Lords possession some day, trying to become saved, trying to become redeemed, become risen with Christ, trying to hopefully one day have their names written in the Lambs book of life. But friends the purchase has already been made for you. The transaction has already been fully completed, and when Jesus bought you, well He himself -that one day-BY THE SACRIFICE OF HIMSELF, Paid for you IN FULL. You are not his possession based on your works or deeds lest the blood of His cross be in vain. Lest the price HE PAID be rendered null and void and powerless, of no value. You cannot confuse or deceive Jesus with that talk. You see He was there the day he bought you and he remembers the whole purchase transaction, all it's pains and all the suffering and all the blood....HIS OWN BLOOD. Paul said that the blood of Christ SPEAKS. He said it speaks BETTER THINGS than Abels blood and BETTER THINGS than the blood of the goat, or of the bull, or of the heifer. And you can faith bank on this about to be said, that Christ blood that speaks, His bloods true voice will never ever say of itself and of its power that it is lacking in power to save, or that it is insufficient to redeem, to forgive, or to save to the utter most them that believe. For the blood of His Cross knows that it is the full eternal Power of God to save, to forgive, to cleans, to uphold, to intercede for, and to keep safe all who put their hearts unchanging uncompromising trust in the Lamb of Gods Blood (Jesus Christ) as Israel did that Passover night by which Christ was preached in a mystery. Friends, You were bought with a price and you even to the spirit, the soul, and the body were paid for in full with THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST....This in part is some of that which JESUS HIMSELF REVEALED AND TAUGHT TO PAUL to teach to the church, we call his teachings the Pauline Revelations that Jesus himself taught Paul. On these above mentioned Pauline revelations, Jesus given to him teachings, and on this foundation, and upon the knowledge of the GREAT PURCHASE that Jesus taught Paul, upon the fact that Jesus bought us with an incomparable price (HIS OWN BLOOD) came the light of the gospel of grace and justification by faith in Christ blood and Cross (the free gift), verses the Law and our works comparisons. Many who FORGET the purchase, or have not it's knowledge tend to (in their minds) go back under law style mindness of justification by their deeds (debt still owed mindset) and not by the INCOMPARABLE HIGH VALUE AND POWER OF THE BLOOD OF CHRIST where all true peace comes from and resides when one sees IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD, not of our works (Ephesians 2:1-10). ........We are not to bear the Laws weight anymore......That burden Jesus lifted off of our backs, putting it all ON HIMSELF AT THE CROSS, paying for the Laws Burden & Curse removal, and paying for us to be fully free from the Law and fully His thru the price HE PAID IN FULL thru the blood of His Cross......deno......scroll down.
P.S...When you lose sight of the fact that you were and you are already Christ possession by the price He paid for you in His own blood, if you forget or do not know a real buying transaction was fully completed for you, then that blind spot in your redemption understanding can cause the Pharisees spirit and mind to come into your life and their persuasions will strive to invade your mind and bring you back into what Paul called fear, legalism and Religious Bondage. .......Please read Pauls letter to the Church of the Galations.
