Salvation is the free gift of God
Paid for in full with Christ Blood.
Its not by works that we have done
But only by the Blood of God.
For what good works can anyone do
To match what was done that day.
When God from above became a man
And upon that cross was slain.
If you think good works have strength vain man,
Then let us all go to the grave.
Behold and look what do you see
A sight that works cannot save.
Since by good works you cannot escape
From the weight of this pile of dust.
Then how by works of your own name
Shall you ascend to the far above.
Lay holt of Christ he's risen indeed
By the Power of God he arose.
And only by the power of the Cross of Christ
Shall be saved both body and soul.....Amen

Ephesians 2:8-9) For by grace you are saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD. vs 9) Not by works, lest men foolishly boast works above the blood of Christ .
FAITH: the little word that prevents evangelicals from understanding that "free" really does mean FREE!
ReplyDeleteIf you are sitting in your living room, watching television, and you see a promotion for entering a contest to win a "free" prize, but down at the very bottom of the television screen, for maybe two seconds, in small, faint print, you read this statement: "$15 entrance fee required"...is this prize really free?
No. Why? Because you had to do something to receive it!
If you go on vacation to a luxury resort and are told that the resort is giving away a free steak and lobster dinner...and all that you have to do to receive this free dinner is to sit through an hour and a half time-share presentation...is that steak and lobster dinner really free?
No. Why? Because you had to do something to receive it!
So when an evangelical Christian tells you that salvation is a free gift, and that all you have to do to receive it, is to make a free-will, mature, informed, adult or older child “decision”...is that a free gift?
No. Why? Because............you...had...to...do...something...to...receive...it!
So why do so many evangelicals require a decision if they believe that salvation is a free gift from God; when they believe that salvation is not based on any good work or good deed of the sinner???

Delete1st Corinthians 2:12-16).....the gift was paid for in full. The purchase was made and paid in full in the ransom transaction. No one in heaven argues against the price paid by Christ. It was a price paid that no human naturally can calculate. It reaches eternal scales and everlasting covenant measurements. When Jesus was talking to the Samaritan woman, He said if you knew the gift of God and who it is that says to you, Give me to drink; you would have ASKED HIM and He would have GIVEN you living water. We do not earn the living water. It is freely given being already paid for in full in the price of Christ blood. Jesus said...and I will ask the Father and He shall GIVE you another Comforter. Some things are received by the work of faith in the asking. Whatever Jesus paid for in the blood of his cross at Calvary is FREELY GIVEN lest the purchase was fraudulent. We open our hearts to Christ believing/asking saying Lord Come Into My Heart. He will if we in faith ask......If we believe that Jesus died for our sins and rose again for our living hope and for our justification, this faith is our new righteousness...it causes Gods Word to re create us in the spirit, in the hidden man of the heart by the mix of our hearts faith with the gospel. Then we go on to our own personal Pentecost as the believing disciples did who first trusted in Christ, when they went to the upper room to receive what Christ said to them would be freely given because they first trusted in him. Then once we have become in the spirit new creatures in Christ and then afterwards have become One Spirit with the Lords Holy Spirit we learned to walk in newness of life in the fellowship Christ suffering paid for us to have with the Father in love.....deno
