Jesus Loves Jerusalem
37 Jerusalem, Jerusalem! Your people have killed the prophets and have stoned the messengers who were sent to you. I have often wanted to gather your people, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings. But you wouldn’t let me.
.......Simple lesson that we can learn from this verse. God wanted to do the people of Israel Good. He wanted to gather them under HIS WINGS..Under the Wings and the under the Shadow of the Almighty is a great place to be. Matter of fact, if fully experienced and understood it is THE GREATEST PLACE TO BE WHEN ON EARTH. (Go read Deuteronomy 28:1-14 & Psalms 91:1-16)
........But Israel, Jesus said, WOULD NOT LET GOD do all the GOOD that He wanted to do for them and unto them and thru them. Not that God did not want His peace and goodwill done for them on earth. He was ALL ON, they were the ones TURNED OFF. (Deuteronomy 28:1-14 & Psalms 91).
........Jesus said, How often, HOW OFTEN, HOW OFTEN He wanted to do them GOOD (much good), but Israel would not allow it. Imagine God wanting to do you incredible GOOD but you do not let Him. They grieved the GOODWILL that GOD wanted to do for them with their sins and half hearted devotion, with their resisting the Holy Ghost heart. Steven told them in (Acts 7:51-52) you do always resist the Lord and other similar Spirit Quenching activity....Do We???....Something to think about.....deno.....share freely.
