Luke 1:3.....deno's commentary.....

Luke 1:3....King James Version (KJV)

3.... It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,

Commentary....
The apostle Paul said to Timothy, "Meditate on these things that I say and write to you, the Lord will give you understanding in all these things. He will do the same for us. Luke the writer of this gospel had been meditating on Jesus and the things of Jesus Christ daily, and the Lord had given him understanding in all things to prep him for his gospel penmanship. He was a doctor by career, a physician who believed and trusted in the atoning works of the Cross and resurrection of Christ.
Luke in his seeking the Lord had become rewarded as written in Hebrews 11:6.  He had become full of the Mind and wisdom of the Spirit of Jesus. He had meditated so much on the things of Jesus Christ that his own record and personal understanding of Jesus came to full maturity to make the book called the bible or better said THE SCRIPTURES. Luke, by that understanding accurately shared his light and sight of the good news of Jesus Christ in his gospel writing to Theophilus. Just like our bibles read, the gospel according to St. Luke......let us continue on to verse 4...
Luke 1:3
