Peter said to Jesus, Lord if my brother sins against me 7 times a day, Should I forgive him all 7 times? Jesus answered. Jesus always has the right answer. He said, Not just 7 times, but 7 times 70 A DAY...490.
Since the Lord, perfect love himself commands us to have mercy and to forgive and love others that much, 490 times a day per person, WOULD HE DO FOR US LESS concerning our faults and sins?...You see that. You see that which just happened in the mind of some of you when i wrote those words. When I said that, immediately some of you on the inside heard a voice in your mind and it said, That's just giving people a license to sin. You went straight to the fault finding.
Friend Jesus our Lord said those words not us and when Jesus said those words, giving people a license to sin was the FURTHEST THING from his mind and it was the furthest thing from His True Spirit... But to the sin magnifying spirit. To the sin conscience mind, when those words are said the license to sin thought immediately rises up. How could that which was the FURTHEST THING from Christ mind when he said those words be the NEAREST THING to yours????..What spirit drives you in the mind? The spirit of the accuser, sin magnifier and of the fault finder, or the Spirit of the Prince of Peace, of our Redeemer, Reconciler, the liberator who sets the captive free and is rich in mercy because of His great love where with he loves us. Some even wonder if God loves anything on earth.
Satan loves to dismantle and belittle the love of God, the goodness of God, the gospel good news, the grace of God, the longsuffering of God as we see of God in the prodigal sons father, the compassion of the Lord which is all in the beauty of the Message of our Lords Cross. Be all that far from you says the spirit of the devil the sin magnifier who always keeps striving to sow discord between brethren, between people, and between God and us. But Jesus is the answer for all those dividing walls, and for all that friction to be removed, to come down and to get out of the way SO MAKING PEACE .
Satan always magnifies the sin. But he fights against you to keep you far from the mercy, love, compassion and goodness of God that forgives, restores, mends, heals and gives place and cause for fellowship between God and people. For without those things, THOSE GOOD THINGS OF GOD IN CHRIST, there could be no fellowship in peace but wrath and friction.. Without the peace power of the blood the Christ and His Cross then the only fellowship that would go on between us and God would be one of friction and wrath and enmity by sin magnification (LAW) and not Cross of Christ love and goodness of God exaltation (GRACE)......This is the core of the Law verses Grace Fellowship with God comparison. Peace I leave you Jesus said...Yes My Peace (with the Father) I give you.
I choose grace over Law any day, SO DOES GOD. For the Law worketh wrath Paul said and you cannot have real love and real fellowship with someone that is always MAD AND ANGRY WITH YOU....But friends, Grace, and truth came by Jesus Christ who is every day, all day long, our redemption and our unchanging PEACE WITH GOD, and thru Him by faith in His atoning PEACE MAKING SACRIFICE we have such peace with God that we -IN CHRIST JESUS- we even now call God, Abba, Father.....Daddy.
If a Father is only interested in fault finding His children and every day all He wants to do is point out there faults and throw guilt trips all day at them, He himself builds again a dividing wall between Himself and His children, and the atmosphere becomes again filled with -NOT LOVE -but meaness and hostility. Plus those children will end up becoming stone faced and dulled in emotional response. Their love of God out look will be a terrible one. Their outlook on Christ and him crucified will be a weakened one and they will question the power that was supposed to have been in the great PEACE OFFERING SACRIFICE when Jesus laid down His life for our peace with God....See Isaiah 53:1-12 and Ephesians 2:11-17......Perfect love casteth out fear and wrath.....deno.
What are you magnifying Sin or the Peace offering and the good things that accompany salvation?....something to thing about. Yes rebuking our and chastising our children have their place. But if in anger all we do is rebuke rebuke rebuke and chastise and yell at our children, well they will eventually not want to hang around us HELLO....
