Recently I was involved in a conversation about this topic of the trinity. Others involved in the conversation seemed shocked that I believed in the trinity. Well I do have my reasons. It's called the Scriptures.
Here are some scriptures and some comments on why I believe that there are THREE that bear record in heaven and these three are One (1st John 5:7-8). One here does not mean carnal oneness but spiritual oneness. Their oneness here was meant to be seen not carnally but spiritually as the glory of their divine harmony and agreement in all things is the point being EXALTED. They walk and agree as One as clearly seen and revealed from Jesus' own lips in John 17:20-23 & Genesis 1:26.... please read. Lord open and their eyes.
Spiritual Oneness means two or more or many walking and agreeing as One. Carnal oneness means the numerical number one. Jesus said "My words are spirit (spiritual words) and they are life.
The word unit which the word united is derived from is a singular word inhousing more than one person or member in it's Power functioning together in harmony and oneness for a common or agreed caused. Heaven itself is filled with the glory of the harmony of many, even trillions, walking and living and functioning as One. So in heaven when all of heavens citizens and members cry in praise to God that We Are One and One We Are, they are speaking THE TRUTH. They are speaking spiritually and not carnally AND THEY ARE IN NO WISE LYING BECAUSE IN HEAVEN THERE IS NO LYING. One of the many, heavens beautiful way. One of the Three, the Godheads beautiful way from everlasting to everlasting.

My wife and I are one. The coach and his players function as one. These three agree as one. The church is one. God Is One. And they two become one flesh (Ephesians 5:28-32). And they two become one spirit (1st Corinthians 6:17). That oneness that those two become is derived from the oneness of the Godhead. It does not make null and void any of the members involved in the oneness and in the unification (THAT'S IMPORTANT). The glory to be seen here is the glory of harmony and agreement. The numerical number of One is not the exalted point. If that is all you see you have blinders on. So we carry this to it's root source and power and make the same connection. The Father and Jesus are One. The Father and I are One. The Church and Jesus are One. The Father, Son And Holy Ghost are One. And these three agree as One.
When Jesus said in (John 10:24-38)please read..."The Father and I are One", he was not dissolving the reality of himself nor the reality of the Father in these words. What he was exalting is that he and the Father are here on earth functioning together in perfect harmony and agreement and that there is nothing he says or does that does not come to him but straight from his Father within. He hears what his Father wants him to speak and he speaks those words. The Father shows him the acts or the deeds He wants his Son to do and he does those works to the measure of the brightness of the Fathers glory and the express image of His person (Hebrews 1:1-4).
What Jesus' main point here as he spoke these oneness words to his apposers was that he and the Fathers presence on earth brings to them and to all mankind HEAVENS HIGHEST LIGHT. A greater one and a greater witness than King David, Moses and Solomon and all the prophets is here. They had the Spirit of the Lord in measure but Jesus was given the Spirit of the Lord without measure (John 3:31-36). He was saying His Words and His Witness exceeds all those prophets before Him. That He and The Father are on earth walking as One fulfilling the prophets writings and they are together bearing witness to WHAT IS TRUTH greater than all others ever before or to come. In other words by Jesus and the Fathers COMBINED FORCE (Oneness) now in One body on earth, they that sit in darkness are seeing GREAT LIGHT.....THE GREATEST LIGHT EVER TO BE GIVEN TO THE WORLD CONCERNING GOD AND DIVINE THINGS....JESUS CHRIST....ALL THAT EXALT THEMSELVES ABOVE JESUS AND HIS WITNESS ON EARTH ARE LIARS AND DECEIVERS.....He always perfectly heard the Father, perfectly spoke His Fathers Words. Perfectly performed all the works His Father gave Him to fulfill and complete (John 17:4-5) each and every day.....Jesus is Our Lord and Savior and Redeemer .
