REINHARD BONNKE: OUR WORLD IS SINKING AND NEEDS RESCUE.

I heard of a theologian and a scientist being rowed across a lake. The theologian asked the boatman “Have you any knowledge of theology?” “No!” “Then a quarter of your life’s gone.” Then the scientist asked the boatman “Have you any knowledge of science?” No he did not. “Then that’s half your life gone”. The boatman said nothing and kept on rowing. After a while he asked them both “Have you any knowledge of swimming?” No, neither of them had. “Well,” said the boatman “this boat is sinking, so all your lives have gone.” This is a parable. Our world is sinking and needs rescue. Only Jesus saves. His Gospel is the only life-line. We are part of His rescue-team. Here it is: preach the Word, tell the truth and shame the devil. No smooth talk, no looking for loopholes for sinners to make the Gospel easier. No soft soap. Soft-soap doesn’t cleanse anybody from sin. Only the blood of Jesus Christ does that. God bless.
